OakBend Medical Center (OBMC), an independent health system southwest of Houston seeks recurring ER Coverage at their Wharton, TX ER. OBMC has two other ERs located in nearby Richmond, TX, scheduling 12-hour shifts. Cross credentialing is required for greater scheduling flexibility. OBMC Is a regional independent non-profit health system serving Fort Bend County and the surrounding region.

· 9,500 Patients per year 24-hour single physician coverage
· 26 Patients/ day (1.1 /hr)-15% admissions rate
· 6-bed ED
· Physician shifts: 24 hours
· 40 Bed Hospital
· Full labs, Xray, CT, US, POCUS
· EMR Paragon (formerly AllScripts); Dictation – Dragon
Required Qualifications
- BC/BE Emergency Medicine trained physician
- BC/BE Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician with recent one year of post-grad hospital ER experience
- Texas medical license and DEA (or ability to obtain)
- Track record of leadership roles and experience
- ACLS, ATLS, PALS
