Notice of Data Security Event

Integrative Emergency Services (“IES”) recently discovered a data security event that may have impacted a limited amount of protected health information (“PHI”) for patients. IES provides healthcare services and staffing solutions for various healthcare providers and would have been provided patient information to perform these services. This notice contains information about what occurred and the steps IES took in response.

What happened?

On June 16, 2026, IES noticed suspicious activity involving one employee’s email account. We secured the account within 24 hours and began investigating what happened. Our investigation found that an unauthorized person accessed the account for just over four hours. On July 9, 2026, we learned that one email containing protected health information may have been viewed during the period of unauthorized access. At this time, we have no evidence that many information was misused. However, we are notifying individuals out of an abundance of caution.

What Information Was Involved?

From our review, it appears that some combination of name, health information, and medical record identifier may have been exposed. Information such as patient addresses, Social Security numbers and financial account information were not impacted.

What We Are Doing:

IES has taken steps to prevent this kind of event in the future, including changing the password to the account and retraining the employees on recognizing and responding to suspicious email activity.

What You Can Do:

Individuals should review their estimate of benefits and contact their healthcare provider or health insurance provider if they identify any suspicious activity. Incidents of identity theft should be reported to law enforcement, the Federal Trade Commission, or the attorney general in your state.
