Hiring FT, PT, or PRN Emergency Medicine physician to join the team at St. Luke's Sugar Land. (W2 or 1099)

Emergency Department:

• Annual Visits: 19,824

• ED Beds: 16

• Trauma Level: IV & Primary Stroke Center

• Patients Per Hour: Currently 1.6 with a 2.0 goal 

• Admit Rate: 19.57%; Transfer rate 3.78%

• Physician Shift: 6a-6p; 6p-6a

• APP Shift: (7 days/week) 1pm to 9pm

• Hospitalists handle admissions 

• Physician Coverage: 24-hours – single doc coverage (Shifts 6a-6p; 6p-6a)

• APP Coverage: 8 hours; 7 days/week (Shifts: 1pm-8pm) 

• POCUS: Sonosite

• EMR: Epic

• Dictation: Dragon

• Scribes: No

• Specialists on Staff: Cardiology, GI, General Surgery, Infectious disease, nephrology, neurology, OBGYN, Ortho, Intensivist, Urology

St. Luke's Health–Sugar Land Hospital offers the latest technology and treatments for residents of Fort Bend County and Southwest Houston. Services range from heart care and neuroscience to robotic surgery. The recently opened Family Birthing Center offers incomparable care and amenities in a spa-like environment to provide a VIP—Very Important Pregnancy—experience. Since 2008, the experienced doctors, nurses, and support staff have provided expert care to support the community.



  • Hospital Beds: 100
  • ICU Beds: 16
  • Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade: Rated A – Spring 2025 & Fall 2024
  • Primary Stroke Center
  • BC/BE ABEM or ABOEM
  • BC/BE FM or IM with minimum 1-2 years of comperale setting experience
  • Texas medical license, DEA or ability to obtain
  • FM/IM required active certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, & ATLS
