IES offers the opportunity to combine clinical Emergency Medicine with meaningful physician leadership within the Baylor Scott & White Emergency Hospital system.
BSW Emergency Hospital – Keller is a 24/7, emergency facility, features shorter average wait times with on-site imaging, and comfortable inpatient beds for overnight observation or critical care.
Position Highlights:
- Employment Type: Full-time | W-2
- Monthly Administrative Stipend
- Annual volume: 8,514
- Schedule Options:
- 24-hour shifts
- Facility Setup: 16 beds (8 ED + 8 inpatient)
- Coverage: Primarily Solo coverage
- Support Staff: Nurses, ED techs (paramedics), rad techs, and telemedicine hospitalist
Medical Director Role:
- Provide on-site management of the clinical and administrative aspects for the emergency department.
- Manage the quality improvement plan including attending regular meetings and review of medical records
- Supervise staff, provide feedback, and assure provision of high-quality care
- Review the provider schedule and ensure adequate staffing
- Actively participate in the recruitment and retention of qualified physicians
- Serve as liaison between hospital administration and clinical staff and provide regular feedback to IES leadership
