Saint Joseph Hospital was founded in Denver in 1873 by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth as the first private teaching hospital in Colorado. Today, it remains the largest private teaching hospital in Denver. The hospital provides a tradition of healthcare that includes compassionate caregivers, stellar clinical expertise and active clinical partnerships.

Emergency Department:

  • 400-bed hospital in the heart of Denver
  • 45,987-visit Emergency Department organized into pods
  • Level IV Trauma Center
  • 45 hours of physician coverage daily
  • 24 total hours of APP coverage daily:
    • 12 hours/day in the Emergency Department
    • 12 hours/day in the CDU
  • 15-bed Observation Unit
  • Chest Pain Center

Required Qualification

  • BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician

Required Qualifications

  • BC/BE in Emergency Medicine
  • Active Colorado medical license & DEA
