IES has an opportunity for an Emergency Department Medical Director at CHI St. Luke's Patients Medical Center:

  • Provide on-site management of the clinical and administrative aspects for the emergency department.
  • Manage the quality improvement plan including attending regular meetings and review of medical records
  • Supervise staff, provide feedback, and assure provision of high-quality care
  • Review the provider schedule and ensure adequate staffing
  • Actively participate in the recruitment and retention of qualified physicians and advanced practice providers
  • Serve as liaison between hospital administration and clinical staff and provide regular feedback to IES leadership

Emergency Department:

  • Physician Shifts: 6A-6P; 6P-6A
  • Physician Coverage: 24 hours
  • APP Coverage: None
  • Annual Volume: 11,000
  • PPH: 1.30
  • Admit Rate: 19%
  • Admissions by: Hospitalists
  • Transfer Rate: 3%

St. Luke's Health – Patients Medical Center provides advanced medical care to the communities in Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte, Baytown and Clear Lake. As a part of St. Luke's Health since 2010, this hospital in Pasadena is equipped to handle a wide variety of primary and specialized services using the latest technological advances and the highest standards of care.

Required Qualifications

  • BC/BE Emergency Medicine
    • BC Family Medicine with ED experience
  • Texas medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Prior experience as a Medical Director or Assistant Medical Director
  • DEA
  • ACLS, PALS, ATLS
