Leadership opportunity: IES two-year Emergency Medicine Administrative Fellowship program at OakBend Medical Center’s three ERs located in Richmond and Wharton Texas. The selected Administrative Fellow is assigned the Associate Medical Director role and collaborates with the IES VP of Workforce Development and Regional Medical Director. This is a structured two-year program that includes a monthly stipend, 30 hours per month of administrative work and training, and 90 clinical hours. This W2 position includes a comprehensive benefits package from day one. The fellowship is an immersive program that provides hands-on training with hospital and emergency department leaders, as well as formal classroom learning. The objective of this unique opportunity is to provide the skills and experience to lead a team in the Emergency Department while practicing medicine.
Fellowship Components:
· Mentorship
· Leadership development in ER operational workflow functions
· Participation in hospital committees, credentialing, risk management, billing and coding, budgetary, and staff development.
Clinical Administrave Fellowship -Associate Medical Director
Three area ERs involved:
OBMC-Jackson Street (1st of 3) campuses
· 16,500 Patients per year
· 45 patients per day (2 Pts./hour) - 15% admissions rate
· 16-bed ED
· APP Coverage 56 hours/week Noon to 8PM
· 24-hour physician coverage; shifts 7A-7P; 7P-7A
· Hospitalist station is convenient adjacent to the ER.
· 120-Bed Hospital
· Full labs on site; Xray, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, US, POCUS
· EMR Paragon (formerly AllScripts); Dictation – Dragon
OBMC-Williams Way (2nd. of 3) Campus
· 11,300 Patients per year
· 31 Patients per day (1.8 Pts./hour)-15% admissions rate
· 8-bed ED
· Physician shifts 7A-7P; 7P-7A
· Hospitalist station adjacent to the ER.
· 57 Bed Hospital
· Full labs on site; Xray, CT, US, POCUS

OB/woman’s
services focus on OB and Peds, physician readily available in-house.

Required Qualifications
- BC/BE Emergency Medicine trained physician
- BC/BE Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician with recent one year of post-grad hospital ER experience
- Texas medical license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA
- ACLS, ATLS, PALS
