IES has an opportunity for an Emergency Department Medical Director at CHI St. Luke's Health Emergency Center – Holcomb:
- Provide on-site management of the clinical and administrative aspects for the emergency department.
- Manage the quality improvement plan including attending regular meetings and review of medical records
- Supervise staff, provide feedback, and assure provision of high-quality care
- Review the provider schedule and ensure adequate staffing
- Actively participate in the recruitment and retention of qualified physicians and advanced practice providers
- Serve as liaison between hospital administration and clinical staff and provide regular feedback to IES leadership

The Emergency Room – Baylor St. Luke’s Holcombe brings quality emergency services from the Texas Medical Center to people of all ages in the Rice Village, West University and Bellaire area. Located on the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic campus, this community ER provides care for both children and adults with minor and major injuries or illnesses. As a hospital-backed community ER, patients can expect to have access to on-call Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center specialists and seamless admission to the hospital when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- BC/BE ABEM or ABOEM or
- BC/BE Family Medicine with 2 years ED experience
- Texas medical license or ability to obtain
- DEA
- Previous experience as a medical director or assistant medical director
