As a Critical Care Advance Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) at Greater Washington Anesthesia Network, you will be working at top of scope practice in an urban, Level 1 Trauma, and academic medical center. This opportunity puts you alongside a diverse team of medical providers in caring for a variety of critical care level patients including cardiac surgery, cardiology, transplant, trauma, neuro, and medical ICU patients.
Roles/Responsibilities
● Develop differential diagnosis and synthesize plans of care based on evaluation of critically ill patients and interpretation of laboratory values, imaging, and other relevant data
● Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and facilitate care with consulting services/teams
● Admit and manage post-op cardiac surgery patients
● Admit and manage liver and other transplant patients
● Manage patients with mechanical circulatory support devices
● Perform variety of procedures independently or with physician supervision within the scope of privileges
● Implement evidence-based research findings into clinical practice
● Participate in administrative, research, and clinical teaching activities as authorized by supervising physician
● Perform other tasks that Advanced Practitioner has been trained and is proficient to perform
● 13hr shifts [7:45pm-6:45am] with rotating weekends; weekend differential pay offered

Required Qualifications
● Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Physician Assistant Program
● Current AGACNP or NCCPA certification
● Current BLS and ACLS certification
● DC License, CDS, and DEA License
● At least 1 year of acute care APP experience or completion of a hospital-based APP residency preferred
