Admits all patients except: Pediatrics, Psychiatry & Burns

85 patient treatment rooms 

ICU beds: 100 

24/7 Radiology 

POCUS

2 dedicated department CT scanners

Coverage:

BUMC runs 3-5 APP shifts each day (10 hour shifts)

  • 7a-5p, 11a-9p, 5p-3a - Sat & Sun
  • 7a-5p, 8a-6p, 3p-1a, 5p-3a - Mon-Fri

POD System (A-E)

  • A - Trauma Pod
  • B-E - General Medicine

MSE shifts Wed-Fri

11 physician shifts each day

EM residency program

  • APP's will work with residents

2 Years EM experience post training, or an EM Fellowship

  • NP's must be EM Fellowship trained

Active Texas License & DEA

Experience with procedures; central lines, paracentesis, lumbar punctures, etc
