Full-time Emergency Medicine APP Opportunity!

Baylor Scott & White Emergency Center – Forney is a freestanding emergency department affiliated with Baylor Scott & White Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett, TX. The $4 million ED provides convenient, high-quality emergency access to the residents of Forney and the surrounding communities. The ED is equipped to care for a wide range of emergency medicine needs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. With Primary Stroke Center Certification, the ED in Forney is ready for almost any emergency.

Emergency Department:

  • 32,000 annual patient visits
  • 8-bed ED
  • 2% admission rate
  • 2% transfer rate
  • EPIC EMR
  • 20 hours of APP coverage weekdays and 12 hours of coverage on weekends

Coverage details:

APP shifts:

  • 8a-6p & 3p-1a Sun - Fri
  • 10a-10p Sat

Physician coverage:

  • 6a-3p, 2p-11p & 9p-6a

Required Qualifications

  • Board Certified Physician Assistant or Emergency Nurse Practitioner with at least 1 year of ED experience; post-graduation.
  • Active Texas License and DEA
  • ACLS, PALS, BLS and ability to obtain ATLS
